color us pretty

We’re excited for the warmer weather, and although we haven’t been afraid of wearing LOTS of color during the winter season, we’ve been counting down the days for those bright spring colors to pop into our wardrobe.  Musing around the internet, we happened upon this Etsy shop of vintage-inspired photo prints with a serious emphasis on color (exactly what we’ve been thirsty for).  Remember how we’re totally into red and aqua?  We also can’t get enough of mint and pink!  The owner, Yvette Inufio, who is a librarian and self-taught photographer really has quite an eye for color and composition.  She describes her affinity for “vintage things and natural light” on her blog, a site chock-full of photographs taken inside her house and around her favorite places.

You can’t appreciate enough the cool vintage prints and quilts she works into her art.

We take inspiration from that anywhere we can, especially when it comes to color.  Translating color schemes from photographs or vintage objects into styling for outfits or color for prints gives us our edge.  Don’t you love the fresh color combo of this warm camel and hot red?

We’re dying over all the beachy stripes and sun-faded colors happening in the above montage.  We love the delicacy and attention to detail in all of Yvette Inufio’s photos, and of course—we are now entirely too excited to bury our toes in the sand when the time comes.
