Ever wondered how a Fossil print came to be? We have an in-house textile team responsible for the inspired prints and patterns you see on the clothes, bags, and accessories each season. The talented group took us through all the designs for fall and we’re sharing the a plaid that’s anything but boring. Called the “bristle plaid” by the textile group, the design was created with texture in mind. Not just any texture, but pencil texture. The sketchy and imperfect quality of the lines is a direct result of the designers free drawing pencil lines and scanning them into the computer to work with. We love how the end result, and final color scheme of the off-white lines against the magenta or navy background, looks more abstract than linear. A fresh print for fall, indeed!
